When autumn ripens and winter peeks through, the Agriturismo di Montalbino transforms into a warm and authentic retreat — a corner of Tuscany where time slows down and life moves gently. In November and December, among the soft Chianti hills, the atmosphere feels like a painting: dim lights, rich scents, and intimate moments.

Apartments and rooms with original charm

The 9 apartments and 2 double rooms of Montalbino are the result of a meticulous and thoughtful renovation that has preserved the historic and rustic identity of the buildings. Exposed wooden beams, original terracotta floors, and period details make every space unique and welcoming. The furnishings, carefully selected over time, blend elegance and history while ensuring comfort and functionality for a pleasant, relaxing holiday.
And for those who want an even more enveloping experience, some accommodations feature an indoor fireplace: waking up to the scent of burning wood and the crackling fire accompanying a morning tea is a simple, genuine pleasure.

A Fireplace that warms the heart

At La Lombricaia, Montalbino’s restaurant just steps from the apartments, the fireplace becomes the star of winter evenings. The embers crackle softly, the flames cast dancing shadows on rustic walls, and the soundtrack is made of quiet laughter, toasts, and intimate conversations. Sitting at the table with a glass of Chianti wine and a homemade dinner feels like returning home after a long day: comforting, familiar, sincere.

The scent of Montalbino’s new olive Oil

November brings with it the intense aroma of new olive oil, a true treasure of our land. Our extra virgin olive oil is produced directly by our farm, made from hand-picked olives immediately pressed at the mill. The result is a fresh oil with a bold yet harmonious character, featuring green and fragrant notes typical of the finest Tuscan productions. Tasting it on a slice of rustic bread or using it to dress warm autumn dishes and soups is a simple experience that speaks of our land and our passion for genuine flavors.

White truffle

Across the Tuscan hills, truffles are the heart of experiences that bring together nature, culture, and authentic flavors. The harvesting of this precious ingredient is tied to ancient knowledge and deep respect for the environment, making it one of the most fascinating treasures of local gastronomy

  • Wine and oil tastings: the Montalbino farm welcomes guests for wine tastings and olive oil samplings.
  • Workshops and activities for families: playful moments in the vegetable garden and lessons for children, such as archery, when the weather allows.

The approaching Christmas air

With the arrival of December, the atmosphere at Montalbino becomes even more magical. The lights, the decorations, the songs: the full spirit of Christmas fills the air. The restaurant also offers a special menu for Christmas lunch, with traditional dishes and festive desserts.

Walking through your estate at twilight, with light frost or a gentle chill, and then returning to the warmth of a lit fireplace is an experience that stays in your heart.
